I bought this for my daughter for her 6th birthday in October. It was my 2nd best purchase, (1st being the Tag reading system). We have never had a problem. My husband and I are both PC technicians, and my only guess is that the people who gave bad reviews and had computer crashes were the ones who aren't as tech savvy as they think they are. My husband and I have spent quite some time playing on this as well! It's a great product!

My 4 year old and 8 year old absolutely love this, they could draw pictures for hours! It took some work to get it working on our computer, but the fisher-price help line was extremely helpful. I had to go to our video driver software company to get an update because our video driver was 2 years old, but then after that it installed and worked great! Just give it some patience if it doesn't work right away, because it is well worth it once it works!

We also bought this for our 7 yr old daughter for Christmas, and it wouldn't even power up! She was so upset because we had to take it back. Needless to say, I let her spend the money on something different.
Don't waste your time or money on this piece of junk.
Also, the Fisher Price "support" line was worthless - we couldn't even get through to a live person despite several attempts.

When I first installed the software (following the directions exactly), the software installed A-OK, but the unit would NOT turn on. I checked out some information, and realized that I needed to download the patch (offered on the fisher price website). After I uninstalled, then reinstalled, along with the new patch, it worked perfectly.

My daughters LOVE this studio. It keeps them busy, and keeps crayons off of my walls.

It's easy enough for my 3 year old to figure out, and my 6 and 9 year olds also love it.

I would recommend this item, but be sure to download the patch that is included on the website, or else the software may not work.

I bought this for my daughter for XMAS this year. Thought it would be a good toy to entertain her while I worked. However I had to keep coming back in every 5 minutes and restarting the computer because it kept freezing up. I would not recommend this toy!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how much money we spend on toys for our daughters. I'm used to hooking them up and the frustrations that come along with it. However, this is completely different!!

They received this ridiculous product as a Christmas gift and of course my computer (both of them actually) meets the requirements on the product. It took forever to install the software (and I have a very fast computer) and once it was running I couldn't figure out how to use the Stylus - there's definitely a lack of directions. Finally I figured out how to use it and my daughter started playing with it. After less then 10 minutes the entire thing froze up. I terminated the program and restarted it, it happened again. I terminated the program and restarted it again ... guess what ... it froze up again! It happened about five times now - each time we've tried it. I have literally called customer service about 30 times and cannot get through because they are experiencing "higher than normal call volumes". Oh wait ... I did reach someone the second time I called, but of courses what she said to do didn't fix it and I didn't think it would be a big deal to call back if I still had problems!!

The software crashed Vista numerous times so I moved it over to an XP system and it seems to be working much better. The disk says that Vista is supported but it is obvious that they did little to no testing on that platform. I'm hoping that it stays stable on XP as I would hate to have to take this back.. my 6yo just loves it.

I just love this toy I bought this for my 4 yr old and my 5 yr old loves it too. I like it I bought the V-tech one like it and this is so much better and and cheaper. At wal-mart it was [price] that is pretty cheap.
If you are unsure about this toy maybe you should do what my husband and I did we buy the toys and try them out and see what you think if you like it then I am sure your kids will, well at least our 2 do.

ALSO YOU NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN WRITING ON THE WALLS OR HAVING YOUR DOG CHEW ON THEM..

We got this for our daughter last year for Christmas. She's 6.5 years old. She loves to play it. It was easy to set up, and easy to navigate. I just wish the 'print' option was smaller, or harder for kids to find. My daughter prints every single page, that is filled with tons of color (using all my ink!) but other than that, it's great. She likes to play this on rainy days, because there are SO many ways to color. We love this, I've even caught my husband drawing on it a few times!

This this looked like a good idea. But the drawing desk thing never worked. And the software did a lot of damage to my computer. It was a gift for Christmas last year and my inlaws threw the box away. Don't buy it unless you want to risk a lot of headache.
