Great Buy!!!

Reviewer:  The Coolest "Ashley F"  (So.California,USA)  See all my reviews

i was looking for a trailer tht wasnt expensive and could be used as a stroller!!! THIS WAS PERFECT FOR WHAT I WANTED!!!! i took a look at the instructions and they were in black and white nd so i just ignored them and played around with it... after about 15 mins i got it up and working!!! the seatbelts fit perfectly... i think i just got a great deal.. only [...]... i havent tried to hook it to a bike yet, bc i just noticed that all the skrews on my bike have rusted and im going o go ahead nd get a new bike... but in the stroller position it works great... the seatbelts work great!!!! its kinda wide so to get out the house we just put it on its side even though my child was still inside of it ( i kno, not the best thing to do) but it got out fine!!!! if the seatbelts r getting uncomfortable for some users then just go to the store and get the padded covers for the straps... they have thm at liek any baby store.... but anyway...

all in all this was a GREAT BUY!!!

Nice little trailer

Reviewer:  nsheaves  (Washington State)  See all my reviews

I've owned this trailer for 2 years now and have used it in all kinds of weather. My son has happily ridden in it since he was 1 and is now 3. I can't conceive how people are able to adjust the straps in such a way that they are cutting into their childs flesh. I've never had a problem with the straps.

There are two straps that go over each shoulder to attach to a D-ring between the legs. The shoulder straps are adjustable up and down depending on the height of the child. There is also a lap belt that buckles independent of the D-ring and is adjustable. After 2 years of use up here in the Pacific Northwest where it rains ALOT, the straps and buckles are still as strong as ever.

The seat is a curved, sling-type, piece of fabric designed to be lightweight and fold easily. There is nothing wrong with the seat. My son has been very comfortable and has even fallen asleep a time or two. When he did fall asleep, I was pleasantly surprised to see that his head did not loll forward but was resting comfortably against the seat fabric.

The only thing that I would change would be the plastic wheels. One of mine has recently bent and is in need of replacement. Metal wheels would be sturdier, although heavier.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU VALUE YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY

Reviewer:  unhappycustomer  (Houston TX)  See all my reviews

I purchased this product at the end of the summer last year and used it only a handful of times. I then stored it in my shed for the winter and just took it out to use a few weeks ago. Just a few days ago I went to put my child in the seat and fasten the safety belt and the nylon safety belt disintegrated into dust. I know this sounds like an exaggeration but the belt literally falls apart if you pull on it. Again, I only used this product a handful of times and the tires are still in new condition with the sprue nubs still in place. I went to my local target and kindly explained that while I was aware that it was over their 90 return period, this was clearly an unsafe product defect with a product intended to be used by children and for designed for their safety. I asked for an exchange for a new one that was hopefully not a danger to my child and the manager refused, telling me since it was over the 90 return period I would have to contact the manufacturer. The manager, David Allee of store # 1124 in Houston TX, did not ask for any of my info, did not say that he would inform anyone of this obvious dangerous defect and did not apologize for putting my child at risk. Target is clearly not concerned with the safety of it's customers and their family. I would highly advise against buying this product and suggest you shop with a company that cares about it's customers!

Uncomfortable n' Small Bike Trailer

Reviewer:  Travelling mom "Randi B"  (Surprise, AZ)  See all my reviews

The sling “seat” is too taunt and pushes my daughter forward. Add in the horrible shoulder straps that hurt my daughters shoulders, and the D-ring and clips that fit awkwardly so they cut into her thighs, it just makes for an uncomfortable time. I put my daughter & the boy I babysit in it, both close to a year old and both under 20lbs, and they didn’t fit, I don’t know how older kids closer to 50 lbs each would fit. The buckles are very difficult to unlatch, but I take that as a safety precaution, if I can barely do them, than my child won’t be able to during a ride. On the other hand it was fast assembly, and I like the stroller option, which the Schwinn also has. So I’m returning mine today and getting the Schwinn.

Painful experience for my child; Returning item

Reviewer:  jojogmd  See all my reviews

We are returning this trailer after using it a few times. There is no real "seat", you kind of strap the child to a piece of hanging fabric. The straps are really awkward and hurt my 15month old. The D-ring and clips are situated so they hit her right between her thighs and dig into her flesh. Because of the lack of form in the seat, by the end of the ride she is hanging from this fabric and the straps are digging into her shoulders and neck. Also, it pushes her helmet forward, so she is pretty much miserable. Not worth it. Also, FYI, I almost never return things so it must be pretty bad for me to return!

A great gift! We love it!

Reviewer:  L.C. Walker "Elsie"  (Monroe, LA USA)  See all my reviews

First of all, let me say that anyone putting a 6 month old in the trailer DID NOT read the instructions. Don't even think of putting a child in who cannot hold their head up - unless you plan on putting them in some kind of seat first.

We have ridden miles with our trailer, with our two youngest, who weigh 90lbs together. Our seven year old is not ready for long-distance riding, so she sits quite comfortably beside her younger brother who is 3. I would imagine the ride may be rougher off-road, but we are having a blast on the streets of our neighborhood. They have not complained once of being bunched or bound in any way. Definately consider the weight of your children, not their age, as long as they are older than one year. Most 7 year olds are not 55lbs.

Every single person we see out on our rides comments about the trailer and how we are all together as a family. I would recommend this buy any day.

Upgrade to the next model!

Reviewer:  Momof3 "03300330"  (03300330)  See all my reviews

Ok..so you get what you pay for...This trailor is cheap and only fits 1 kid! I'm not sure how the other people that reviewed this were able to get 2 kids in it! I took mine back and got the Schwinn and it's so much better.. My 2 yr old and 4 yr old can ride together and there's room in the back for cargo! This Instep is a piece of junk!

[...]
well i got it home (after diving 50 miles to pick it up) took it out of the box, and realized. It bites! it wont attach to my DHs bike because the way it hooks up doesnt match the bolts on the bike, not only that you have to have an xtra set for it to attach to a different bike, the bottom is made of fabric, and is not very sturdy, the seat doesnt look comfortable at all, i put baby in it and he liked it for a minute while i held the bar and strolled him up the sidewalk. 5 minutes later he wanted out! I will be taking this back to the store for a full refund and warn anyone else to have it checked out befor purchase
the price was rediculous especily when it is so much less on here.
